[Dixielandjazz] Fw: Not Dada

Okay, I'm not saying that at all. The whole % thing was a silly thing to
say and it's being misinterpreted. If it sounds like I'm saying what Bill
just said I said and what Charlie said I said, then I'm not able to express
what I meant. By "comfortable" I didn't mean "hum drum" and by 1% I didn't
mean those who were more intelligent or enlightened. All I was trying to
say was that most people structure their lives to be stable and comfortable
(I DIDN'T say unfulfilled, drab, meaningless or anything of this sort), and
some people continually change their lives and take risk. That's all. I'm
not saying they're more intelligent or "know what it's all about." For
instance does someone like Donald Trump fall into the 99% or the 1%? I
would say the 1%. Is he more intelligent or enlightened than the 99%? I
doubt it. Does he lead an interesting life that people follow on t.v?
Apparently so. How about Madonna? 99% or 1%? Is she more intelligent?
enlightened? ......... How about someone that decides one day to take a
chance and pick up and move their whole family from the suburbs of Baltimore
to Alaska or Istanbul and try and make a go of it? Do they embrace
stability? How many people would actually follow through? Is this family
more or less "intelligent or enlightened" than anyone else? How about the
woman who took a small boat across the ocean by herself?

Please pardon the non-musical content. The original quote was not intended
to be posted.

And now back to music,

Rob McCallum
