Jan, while I found most of your mouthpiece advice is
excellent, I disagree with this part about the 10
1/2C. I used the 10 1/2C in high school and because of
that, I now have a pressure ring on my lip. The rim on
this mouthpiece is way to sharp. I would recommend a
mouthpiece with a more rounded rim. I'm use a Jerome
Callet 10S Varicup-Bakur. I have found that at least
for me the 10S helps center pitch and feels
comfortable on the chops.
