Lucky you!
The first and only time I tried to talk to Barrett Deems (he was in Oz with the
Louis All Stars) he told us to "f--- off!"
Not a happy man on that tour.
We left him alone from then on.

PS: Louis came to Australia 4 times (1954, 1956, 1963 and 1964)
We saw him at most concerts each time, but met and spoke to him him twice only.
I can still remember the adrenalin rush each time.
Fortunately, we got to socialise a bit with most of the other musicians in the
band.
