There was some talk on this forum about fake books on a cd. I have seen it.
A cd entitled The Book, it contains 12 different publications converted to
.pdf files. All pages are there: cover, index, photos, etc. The Adobe
Acrobat reader is included on the disc for several different operating
systems including various Windows formats and MacIntosh. There is a master
index -- several pages in length. Navigating the pages is easy and quick.
Copies can be printed but not saved (unles you own the Adobe PDF creator).
The copy I saw is the"concert" version. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a
Bb version? BTW, there are no lyrics. Most of the books are slanted toward
"modern" stuff, but a few contain standards useful commercial tunes. There
are 3 Real Books, 3 New Real Books, Bill Evans FakeBook, Colorado Cook Book,
Library of Musician's Jazz, The Book - Commercial, Jazz LTD, and The Jazz
Fakebook.
Bottom line: it's a great resource.
