Amen to that Brother! You've hit the nail on the head. Give the people
what they pay for, not what you can throw together to fill a gig!

Bob,

I have nothing personally against Steve Barbone or the Preservation Hall. I
just believe the philosophy of multiple bands under the same name is nothing
short of a fraud against the people who simply do not get what they expect
and
if Steve or anyone else suggests that the average customer won't notice the
difference then that shows complete contempt for the people who after all
pay the
bills.
In rather dubious bars in this country staff have been known to substitute
cheap generic drinks for the well known brands advertised and sell them on
the
basis that 'the customer will notice know the difference'. Whether the
customer
notices or not is immaterial, the licencees have been rightly prosecuted and
fined very heavily for fraud.

Cheers,

Jerry,

U.K.
