Zep played alto and clarinet. He was a full time musician for many years,
and worked for several years with the Spike Jones City Slickers at the same
time my dad, Red Ingle, did. Great Dixieland clarinetist. He arranged for
many bands, including Lawrence Welk. He bought and ran a music shop for many
years up until his death a few years ago. Very nice man who took time to
help a young teen age kid learn about arranging for small combo jazz...that
kid being me. His small dixie charts are still as good as it gets for the
genre.
