Dear fellow listers,

Below is a promotion that Rosemary and I are starting that pertains to OKOM.
I know that most of you on this list cannot attend our events, unless you
just happen to be around Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday night.  We have been
planning on doing this type of thing for some time and think we have found a
way to make it work.  I  will report back to you from time to time and if we
are successful in our endeavors we will share our plan with you (by direct
e-mail only).  For now we just have to see if it works.

TTG Entertainment Group presents the Jazz Advocate "Bring Back Jazz" project
at Jazz Central.
Rosemary and I have been hosting  the Jazz Advocate website on the Internet
for some time and have long had aspirations of becoming more active in jazz
promotions in the Dayton and surrounding area.  We have asked our friend
Stacy Thompson of TTG Entertainment Group to help us put on a "New Orleans
Night" at Jazz Central in Dayton on Wednesday nights.  This will start on
Jan. 15th and feature Dave Greer's Classic Jazz Stompers, which will give
our public some insight into the roots of jazz.  Two additional jazz
promotion features of these events; in addition to CJS we will have a
different opening act each week to offer local upcoming jazz groups
exposure; we will also be contributing a portion of our regular ticket sales
toward jazz efforts of  the Serious Young Musicians.  The doors at Jazz
Central will be open from 5 to 10pm and there will be free early bird pizza
for 5:30 to 6:30pm.  Come out and joined the fun of Classic New Orleans
Jazz!

Also if anyone can help us, the owner of Jazz Central is looking for a used
"Doorman's" uniform to be used as part of the "New Orleans" events.
