Dear Ivor,
But does he play OKOM?
He does for me.
Love the stuff even if it isn't jazz.
I'm just a sucker for vaudeville.
However, there IS a jazz item by George Formby work looking out for.
It has just been issued on a Formby CD by Naxos.
"Do De O Do' by George Formby is backed by a hot contingent from Jack Hylto=
n=8Cs
band.
It was recorded on 1 July 1932 and features a blazing hot trumpet solo by
Frenchman Philippe Brun.
A 1930s jazz musician well worth a listen.
Kind regards,
Bill.
