My tenor man, Phil Urso, worked with Miles, roomed with him on the road. =
He admired Miles for his technical abilities, but disliked him for his =
total dislike of white people, (who were his main support). Phil was =
with Chet Baker for 16 years, he idealized Chet.
Phil was listed in the top ten jazz tenor men in the fifties.
He had the same problems Baker had, but is now straight.
Thanks for Buddy Lee's #, we had a long visit.
