Interesting L. Armstrong recorded this tune soon after its first
presentation (in Broadway), at least was in the same year, did He know it
before??.
The Armstrong version is outside its original rhythm and key. He was not the
first jazz musician to record a Latin tune. Bennie Moten recorded in October
1929 ``rumba negra`` under the name ``Spanish stomp``
Red Nichols version had young B. Goodman and probably J. Teagarden and Glen
miller, all together, is that so Bill ?.
Peanut vendor was also recorded by Django Reinhart, and Grapelli too.
