[Dixielandjazz] language usage - "sprung"

Hi Charlie and all,

I dunno 'bout that, Charlie. At least he didn't say "I springed for the 2003 
version."

But aside from such silly business, what would you say about this sentence:  
"He sprung on the DJML his advice for dealing with the virus problem."

Depending on your answer I'll discuss this issure further.
