This message is for any DJML members that might happen to be any where near
central Iowa on Dec. 20.
"MERRY BIXMAS" CONCERT WILL JAZZ UP YOUR HOLIDAYS! 
"MERRY BIXMAS", the fifth Good Times Jazz Concerts Series concert will be
held on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Adventureland Inn & Resort (just east of
Des Moines, Iowa at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 65) and
will feature The West End Jazz Band from Chicago, Illinois.  
You'll be transported back to the 1920's and 1930's jazz age when you hear
this great band play their classic sweet and hot dance jazz music. In
addition to the classic jazz arrangements the West End Jazz Band is famous
for, you'll also hear familiar holiday songs with a jazzy twist.  And some
of legendary Davenport, Iowa cornetist Bix Beiderbecke's music will be heard
as well.
This is a non-smoking venue and there will be a dance floor.  Band souvenirs
will be available for purchase.
This special concert will start at 7:00 p.m. in Adventureland Inn's largest
ballroom on the second floor of the hotel.  There is an elevator just
outside the main door to the ballroom.  
There are a limited number of $15 General Admission concert tickets
available.  
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS: 
1) IF PAYING BY CHECK call (515) 770-5299.  Your tickets will be mailed to
you (add $1 per order) or you may pick them up under your name at the "WILL
CALL" table located just outside the door to the ballroom on the night of
the concert.
2) IF PAYING BY CREDIT CARD (Master Card, Visa and Discover) call (515)
274-4686.  This number is for the Ingersoll Dinner Theater box office.  A
service fee of $2 per ticket will apply to all credit card orders.  
Tickets purchased by credit card can be picked up at the Ingersoll Dinner
Theater box office at 3711 Ingersoll, or will be mailed to the purchaser for
$1 per order. 
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS CONCERT WILL NOT BE HELD AT THE INGERSOLL DINNER
THEATER!  THEY ARE ONLY HELPING BY LETTING US USE THEIR BOX OFFICE FOR
CREDIT CARD ORDERS.    
ALL TICKETS PURCHASED BY PHONE WITHIN FIVE DAYS OF THE CONCERT MUST BE
PICKED UP AT THE "WILL CALL" TABLE  THE NIGHT OF THE CONCERT.  So we don't
miss you in the mail.
Please don't wait too long to purchase tickets, since seating is limited and
may sell out.  If tickets are still available the night of the concert, they
may be purchased at the door (cash or check only please).  
LET'S EAT!
Join us for a pre-show dinner in the ballroom starting at 5:00 p.m.  Enjoy a
delicious Adventureland Inn Prime Rib Buffet (plus two other meats, two
pasta salads and more) for only $11.95 per person.  The buffet will be
located on the second floor of Adventureland Inn right next to the ballroom
where the concert will be held.  You will eat at tables in the ballroom and
sit in the same seats you will have for the concert. 
Special treat!!! To aid in your digestion, ROD BIENSEN will perform ragtime
music starting at 5:30 pm.
$11.95 per person buffet tickets must be purchased at the Adventureland Inn
FRONT DESK the night of the concert.  Present your buffet ticket when you
get to the start of the buffet line.  YOUR BUFFET TICKET DOES NOT ADMIT YOU
INTO THE BALLROOM FOR THE CONCERT.
