[Dixielandjazz] South Rampart Street Parade lyrics

Hi Listmates,

I'm trying to reconstruct the lyrics that Steve Allen wrote for "South
Rampart Street Parade.

The intro starts out like this:

"Do you hear the beat - a way down the street
Do you hear the neat little rhythm of the happy dancing feet?"

What I need are the lyrics to the very next strain . . . there are lines
like "Look there, the people are a-comin'" and "Your feet are really gonna
palpitate" . . . and the strain ends with the words " . . . marchin'
around"

I know the lyrics to all the other strains (there seems to be about five or
six of 'em). It's just those two verses in the strain that follows the intro
that I need.

I used to sing it years ago with Bob Ringwald and Stan Black in three part
harmony and it was a real gas! I'm trying to resurrect the damn thing and I
just can't recall that particular part.

Ringwald, do you remember it? If so, write it down and send it to me. Same
for any of you out there that recall the song. I think the Andrews Sisters
did it with Bing Crosby back in the '50s.

Cheers,

Bill "I demand that brand of handy dandy dixieland" Gunter

ps Thanks in advance tons and tons to whomever can come up with the words.
