Acoustic rock couldn't be the rock we all know and love. Not without the
gated snare backbeat, the distortion on the instruments and 'vocals', the
vibrating walls and windows of the nearby structures.

Maggie'n'me went to a Lyle Lovett concert (not even rock) and I counted
fifteen microphones on the drums alone.  Maybe so their sound tech could get
the perfect percussion sound balance in the mix?
