Hi Margaret,

There's a good chance the the bass saxist could be Joe Rushton or possibly
Spencer Clark(e).

All the best for the 27th.

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] Bass sax soloist

Hi gang!

I am on another mailing list and the following question was posed.......A
guy buys a cd with not much listed on the liner notes. It is a 3 cd set of
"jazz legends". A tune called "Nobody Knows You" has a bass sax on the
bass line and then goes on to play a nice solo. The only thing this guy
knows is that the recording was by a band with Ruby Braff. He would love
to know who the bass sax player is. Does anyone on this list have any
insight?

Thank you for any help you might have.

And to further the April birthdays....mine is on Sunday.

Margaret
