Technically, the Homespun LP was never reissued. Fantasy still owns its
original rights to the album, issued in 1964. So, what Fantasy reissued
was its own Fantasy album. Ted Shafer's 1970s reissue of the 1964
Fantasy album has a fascinating history, related to me once by Ted.

It seems that Ted asked Lu if he could reissue the album. Lu, who
apparently believed he owned the rights (!), said Yes. Ted reissued,
accordingly. Much later on, after Lu's passing, Ted spoke with Fantasy
with an eye toward reissuing his reissued LP on CD, and discovered that
Lu was mistaken, that he never owned any rights to Fantasy's property.
So, no CD re-reissue, by Ted.

Kinda makes the Homespun version a collectible, actually.... an
(unintentionally) illicit reissue of copyrighted material!,
