Borcher was a helluva guy and certainly deserves credit for the founding of the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. My fondest memory is walking down the streets of Old Sacramento a day before the jubilee, hoping to enjoy the atmosphere. All of a sudden I heard, "Hey Burt, get off you ass and help move this piano." Who else but Borcher! Of course, I did as I was told. He was that kind of guy. RIP.
