Gary:
Thanks for this very nice post. My humility prevents me from expounded on
your very well-written and startlingly accurate summary of the band.
I do, in fact, have lots of CDs left for sale, as that Deutsche Grammophone
deal went sour after I'd already had them manufactured. In addition, I
really need to get that second Jaguar back in the garage as the bad weather
(well, it's California, so it's relative) approaches.
If anyone is interested, contact me offlist.
Bob Williams
The World's Most Modest Man and
The Nominal Leader of The Wooden Nickel Jass Band

Fellow Listmates,
As you have read in a previous post the Wooden Nickel Jass Band is
folding its tent at the end of this year.
If you have never seen or heard them you have missed something really
special. They have injected a feeling for OKOM into every performance that
has reached across the boundaries and pulled in new fans that would never
have listened otherwise. To put it bluntly they are DIFFERENT!!! Each and
every member is an artist and consummate performer at what they do.
In the remaining time that they will be performing as a group, if you are
able to attend on or all of their gigs I urge you to do so. You will not be
sorry. They are and have been one of the West Coasts finest.
For those of you who are not able to attend I believe Bob still has quite
a few CDs taking up space in his garage that he would be more than willing
to exchange for that long green. At least that is what he told me the last
time we spoke. Once again you will not be sorry. Every one, including
Brady's is a Gem.!
Gary Wallbridge Their #1 lung fan.
