Spain has the problem licked over problems with THEIR National Anthem:
it's a hated, ugly, Germanic sounding march that has no words. It's
always played the same way, and normally by a military band, so there's
no improvisation. Therefore, they don't have to suffer like you all
over there. Spaniards don't stand with hand over heart, and normally
applaud at the end. Dunno if it's 'cause the thing is over, or they
just like to make noise.

At the U.S. Embassy (Madrid) Embassy party, the Spanish Navy band played
both anthems, theirs & ours. It was interesting seeing the different
postures of the two different peoples mixed on the lawn of the embassy,
and how each anthem was handled by the listeners.
