   Allen, don't distort things attributed to me.  Of course, I don't object 
to 'professional' musicians getting paid for school performances.  But you 
came on with some pretentious blather about your concern for education and 
for exposing school kids to good jazz and then presented a blatant 
solicitation for funds to pay musicians for school concerts.  All I did was 
to suggest that if you are truly concerned about education exposing kids to 
good jazz, then go and do it...as a contribution to education and your 
community.

To expect musicians to donate their services is common these days, and when
