Lyrics to chorus of "Wherever There's Love" (as sung by Lee Wiley on the 1944
Condon Decca version):
"Wherever there's smoke there's a fire,
Wherever there's hymns there's a choir,
Wherever there's babies there's one lullaby,
Wherever there's love there's you and I...
Wherever there's stars there's a gleam,
Wherever there's night there's a dream,
Wherever there's heaven there's angels close by,
Wherever there's love there's you and I...
(Bridge) --
*********************************************************
Wherever there's ships on the sea,
There's treasure in the hold,
Wherever the rainbow ends, there's gold - or so I'm told
********************************************************
Wherever there's surf there's a tide,
Wherever there's June there's a bride,
wherever there's hello there's always goodbye,
Wherever there's love there's you and I".
You did mean the chorus, and not the verse, didn't you? (I may have the verse
somewhere: that's the obscure bit, but you say you have it!).
I know the words sound really corny, but sung by Lee Wiley, they sound great!
Yours,
Jim Denham
