THE VERY OCCASIONAL EMAIL NEWSLETTER OF THE CREOLE DIXIELAND JAZZ BAND
Springfield, Missouri

(You are receiving this email because you told us (in one form or another)
that you like New Orleans-style Dixieland jazz. To be removed from the
list, just reply and let us know.)

Greetings, Traditional Jazz Fans!

YOU CAN BE PART OF CD #2
That's right. We're going to record another CD and you can be part of it.
We're recording it LIVE at our long-running Sunday night gig at Arris'
Pizza in Springfield, Missouri. Join us this Sunday, October 13 and next
Sunday, October 20 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. You can order a CD in advance
(which will help us fund this project). Just send $15 to "The Creole Dixieland
Jazz Band" in care of: Dave Gravatt/1603 Melanie Lane/Ozark, MO/65721.
Include your name, address, and phone number. Shipping is free. You can
also order your CD any Sunday night at Arris'. CDs should be available
around the first of December - they'll make great Christmas gifts! We are
very excited about this as the CD will feature: Billy Hunt on cornet, Jerry
Hoover on clarinet and soprano sax, Red Ormsbee on trombone, Harry Beckett
on Piano, Dave Gravatt on banjo, and Mike Marois on tuba. A terrific lineup
of trad jazz tunes is planned including: "Messin' Around", "Once In A While",
"Margie", "Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans", "Riverboat Shuffle",
"The Charleston", "Clarinet Marmalade", "Louisiana", "By and By", and more!
(Tune lineup may change.) Hope to see you there!

DON SYLVESTER & The JAZZ MUSEUM
Sadly, our good buddy and number one jazz fan, Don Sylvester, passed away
recently. Don's dream of a National Swing and Jazz Museum in Springfield
is still very much alive. Your tax deductible donation toward this project
may be made by sending your check made payable to the "National Swing &
Jazz Museum" to: National Swing & Jazz Museum/1845 S. Pickwick/Springfield,
MO/65804.
