Hi all,

To continue the Bela Fleck thread slightl;y further away from jazz can I
please suggest that anyone wishing to listen to this great banjo virtuoso in
an 'acoustic' setting gets hold of a copy of a CD called "Perpetual Motion
(Sony Classical SK 89610 - available worldwide!) On this Mr Fleckbrings his
skills to a selection of pieces of music by Scarlatti, Bach, Beethoven,
Debussy, Brahms etc. with accompaniment / support from John Williams (guitar)
Evelyn Glennie (marimba) joshua Bell (violin) Garry Hoffman (cello) and
others. Maybe rather unusual settings for this music but certainly apt. The
arrangement for Beethoven's 'Seven variations on God Save The King' even
manages to make that dreadful dirge interesting!

Cheers,
