their heads handed to them and it was not just embarrassing -- it was
cruel and unusual punishment at the hands of Penn State."

List mates & Don:

It may be that Penn State beat them so badly because PSU's town, State
College PA, has had an OKOM band working steadily in a club there for
the past 20 or 30 years. I forget the band name, but they are well known
and very good. Maybe listening to OKOM would help MSU play better?

PS. Just got back from a gig for our local jazz society, (Tri State JS)
Philadelphia area. Audience was a fine mix of older folks, till we got
there with our swing dancing followers. Had 10 young swing dancers right
in front, dancing to everything from "That's a Plenty" to "Tiger Rag".
Old folks, just loved every minute of it. Even got a few old guys to
dance with Lindsay (age 26) and Cathy (age 22). Great fun was had by
all. Lindsay is moving to San Diego CA tomorrow. So you OKOM bands
there, look for a gorgeous blonde who can dance, high speed, for 10
minutes at a clip. Add her to your presentation for instant acclaim. For
a jpeg photo, write me off line. She loves to dance to Dixieland.
