This message is being posted on behalf of Earl & Alice Scheelar - hosts
for the Bob Helm Memorial Tribute on November 11.

Unfortunately the widespread publicity for this event has generated more
interest than anticipated, and the anticipated attendance has far
exceeded the capacity of the hall where the Tribute is being held.

It is with regret that we must close the event to the general public.
An invitation-only guest list has been prepared, which was discussed
with Bob some time ago, and we ask that you honor this list.  We
apologize for any inconvenience, and we are sorry that we cannot
accommodate everyone who would like to attend.

We want to get back to the original intent of the Tribute.  That is to
have a time and place for musicians and close friends to celebrate Bob's
life, and to share in the sorrow of his death.  There will be no dance
floor - this is strictly a listening event.

For those not able to attend this event, you are invited to attend the
next regular meeting of the New Orleans Jazz Club of Northern California
on November 17th, 1:30-5:30 at the Moose Lodge in San Pablo.  This will
also be a tribute to Bob Helm and the featured band will be Leon
Oakley's Friends of Jazz.  A donation of $10.00 is expected.
