Dear Steve:

I'm a big fan of Audra McDonald. She has a fabulous voice, wonderful stage
presence and can sing everything from opera to popular music. She's not well
known to the general public though she's a 3-time Tony winner ("Ragtime,"
"Carousel," "Master Class"). She played the love interest in the TV version
of "Annie," marrying Daddy Warbucks at the conclusion of the play. (She's
black and it was colorblind casting--good for the producers for not making a
big deal of it.) If you want to learn more about her, you can check her web
site at www.audra-mcdonald.com.
