Hi April and Listmates:
I've been in Arizona for a week and have thoroughly checked out the jazz 
scene.  
At the Jet Lag Lounge in Scottsdale (northwest corner of Hayden & Chapparal 
in the Safeway Shopping Center):
SUNDAY:    Jazz Jam Session featuring Richie Oropazo, 5 to 9 pm.
TUESDAY:  The Joe Hopkins Quartet, playing swing and New Orleans jazz, 7:30 
to 11:30 pm.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY:  Gary Church and Friends, 7:30 to 11:30 pm.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY:  The Gary Church Trio 7:30 to 11:30 pm.

MONDAY:  The Joe Hopkins Quartet 8:00 to 11:00

Frequently there are visiting musicians sitting in.  These quartets and trios 
sometimes have eight or more players!  Great music every time!
