In his thoroughly enjoyable piece on Eddie Calhoun, Charlie Hooks said :

"Not until he died did I find out that he had
played and recorded with Earl Garner"

Which reminded me that when I first introduced my kids to the wonderful
music of the great man they used to refer to him as "Our Old Gardener".
