Dear Meg, What sad news. John was an excellent jazzman. We only met him once (in 1975) but corresponded via email a little bit. He was a great friend to countless Australian jazz people, over many years, on their way through Honolulu. A fine musician and a tireless worker for our music. He will be missed by his many friends.
