I heard the Riverwalk radio show, "Live at the Landing",
with the Jim Cullum Jazz Band (Don Mopsick's group)
tonight on our local DC area public radio station. Hadn't
heard it for a while. It was so nice to hear such nice music.
Reminded me of the time I stopped in the bottom of the Hyatt
across from the Alamo in San Antonio one Sat night,
and Jim let me sit in with his band. (They weren't on the air
live that night.) I played harmonica on one number -- can't
remember what song. Jim was a bit surprised and I think
maybe put out a bit when I also went into a vocal chorus.
I guess I broke protocol, because I had only asked if I could
sit in on harmonica. Hadn't mentioned that I also sang.
Still he was gracious.

This was about 6 or 7 years ago. I doubt if Don M. remembers it.
But I went down there about three weekends in a row and it was
magical getting to hear that great band in such a beautiful setting.
That was when Christopher Evan was playing clarinet with them.
