My, how standards change over the years regarding coarse language!
One time, visiting my wife-to-be at Miami U. in Oxford, OH, a friend and I
went to a pool room after Sally was locked up in her dorm (at 10 pm!)
Missing an easy shot, I (not loudly) uttered the usual comment which begins
with s and ends with t.  Immediately, the poolroom proprietor came over and
said, "We don't allow that kind of language in here, son."
