Listmates--
Going through my LP archives looking for a singing version of "Move the
Body Over".  Found it on a George Lewis album almost forgotten.  Must 
have been made in the middle fifties?-----and had Thomas Jefferson on
trumpet and Bob Thomas on trombone----and the usual rhythm of Watkins,
Purnell, and Pavageau.  This session presented George's clarinet in great
form----in tune, high notes not shrill, and delightful ensemble notes behind
the trombone soloes.  Thomas has great tone---quite different than typical
New Orleans tailgate----and a very simple approach to ensemble and solo
playing.  Anyone on the list ever played with Bob Thomas?
