This is off topic but I will add to John Petters praise of the 12 year old
clarinetist.
The Queen's Jubilee concert from the grounds of Buckingham Palace was on
Public TV Channel 11 in the chicago area last night. It was a wonderful wide
ranging classical concert and if it is still being shown elsewhere in the
U.S. I urge you to watch it. The BBC symphony, Chorus, Royal Marine
trumpets, an exquisitely beautiful Italian singer and others were all part of
this concert. A standout amidsts standouts was the young clarinetist. I was
taping the show and not watching. This clarinet started in with piano accom.
on a contemporary work. It was good and got better and I'm wondering if this
was Jack Brymer ( top British classical clarinetist) or who. I finally went
in to look and here was this kid, perfectly poised and playing superbly. I
daresay the world will be hearing more from him.
