John, I've said it before here.....There are thems that do it, thems
that don't. Thems that do, do it naturally. Thems that don't, don't
have it naturally, plus tend to look down on thems that have it & do it!
(There, in my opinion, is the mistake! Each to his own, sortathing.)

Really, if the music is good to begin with, a bit of humor can't be a
bad thing. The amount of humor depends on the personnel in that
particular band, and can't be wrong if the band is working. I am always
reminded that the clown in the circus is usually a topnotch bareback
rider, topnotch trapeze artist, etc. Ya do the music first.....and, if
there's some clown in you, ok....it can happen or not depending on the
mood, place, band, etc. It's not automatically a bad thing.

In our press articles, always, always, always, the music is mentioned as
being top level, and then the fact that we enjoy ourselves & that the
audience is pulled into this enjoyment. We don't give away beads 'cause
I wouldn't know where to buy them, can't be bothered to cart them along,
and no one would know what we were going on about, anyway. :>
