I just know that many of you out there in OKOMland will be able to =
advise me of the derivation of 'Strutting with some Barbecue'. We played =
a concert at the Loule International Jazz Festival last evening and with =
an mixed audience of expat and tourist English/Dutch/French/German and =
probably 70% of Portuguese we have to be multilingual with our =
announcements. We, because very little OKOM is heard in Portugal, try a =
little education, always in a light-hearted fashion, regarding =
dates,musicians, etc. Sometimes we explain the titles....for example =
Willie the Weeper, Big Butter and Egg Man, Dr.Jazz etc. Last night we =
were asked about 'Strutting with some Barbecue' and the whole audience =
were in hysterics at our attempts to explain the derivation when we were =
mainly guessing, and then translating in to Portuguese. Help.. what is =
the definitive answer.
