Dukes fans--
Just had to copy you on an endlessly irritating comment on a webpage talking about a recording that Louis Armstrong made with the Assunto Dukes of Dixieland at http://www.satchography.com/sessions6/s600524.html. I'd be amused at the term 'ducka-ducka' (which i haven't heard before) if i weren't so mad at the comment itself, as i like this recording. Oh well, whaddya gonna do. The hegemony of the insects is approaching faster than i thought.

"Unless you're a big fan of "ducka-ducka" banjo playing, this is an endlessly irritating musical experience. The only interest comes from Armstrong's only recorded performances of such standards as "Dixie", "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "Limehouse Blues." The original album was released on Audio Fidelity as "Louie and the Dukes" (one of the few times you'll see Armstrong referred to on LP as "Louie"), and the alternates on Chiaroscuro CR 2003. The latter have yet to see CD issue."
