[Dixielandjazz] Charles V. Wells RIP

Received a call this morning from one of his family telling us of Charlie's
death yesterday after a stroke several weeks ago.
Among other things, Charlie co-owned Tiger's Den in Gaslight Square during
its glory years and, was very active in various jazz events in and around
St. Louis.  Most recently, he produced the Mid America Jazz Festival for
almost 20 years, until the late 1990s.
He was an outstanding jazz promoter and a dear friend.
