I can also tell the differenceIF the acoustic bass is played acoustically.
Where ever my band plays, unless real bad acoustics prevet it, we all play
acoustically. That way you get the natural sound of acoustic instruments and
don't deafen the punters.
Sadly most bassists got on the polytone kick about 30 years ago and most
traditional bands in this country suffer from whimpish bassists that stroke
their strings insterad of plucking them then turn the wick up.
Bring back live acoustic music!!!
