The 'BYE BYE BLUES BOYS' will be the guest band at the Monterey Hot Jazz
Society dance concert July 14 (today).

Band Members are:

Don Pellerin, Clarinet (Leader). Don is a California native. He has played
clarinet and Sax since 1936. He worked his way through college as a
musician. A veteran of several years with big bands, Don is also past
director of the Watsonville Band and is currently Assistant Conductor and
Concertmaster.

Ken Blood, Trombone. He started playing trombone 69 years ago... stopped for
a few decades, and picked it up again in 1984. A legend around the Peninsula
area, Ken has played with such groups as Dixieland Inc., the Doo Doo Wah
Street Irregulars, Bob Warren's Generation Gap Band and the Bye Bye Blues
Boys. If you're having problems,
Ken is also a retired shrink.

Carl Reiley, Trombone. A retired physician, Carl has played Trombone since
his early teens. He played professionally during Medical School with two
bands, has played in seven Sacramento Disneyland festivals with the Alamo
Jass Band of San Antonio, Texas. He is an active member of MHJS and a
veteran of two Dixieland Monterey gigs with the Bye Bye Blues Boys. He also
plays cornet.

Dick Williams, Cornet. Dick has played cornet since 1956. A founder of both
The Good Tyme Jazz band and Jazzin Babies in S. CA., he also played with the
Desert City Six in Phoenix. He has played with several Bay area bands since
returning to California in 1990.

Chuck Eastman, Banjo. The only information available about Chuck is that he
plays a mean banjo.

Don Irving, Bass Saxophone. Don started playing Sax in grammar school. He
started playing Baritone and Tenor sax in college... and played Rock n Roll
to pay expenses. He left music behind to join the Navy, and picked it up
again in 1970. A veteran of the Monterey Community Band and others in the
area, he has been a MHJS Jammer since 1988. Currently, Don plays with Joe
and Mary Ingram, a Sax quartet, the Bye Bye Blues Boys and other groups
around the Peninsula.

Randy Imlay, Drums. Randy has spent a lifetime in bands big and small. He
says he very much enjoys doing the Dixieland thing at this time of his life.

Bert Robinson, Bass. Bert is a product of public school and private music
lessons. He has an extensive background in Symphony Orchestra and Broadway
Musical productions. He holds a BA in String Bass and Music Composition.
When he isn't playing Bass in a Dixieland he likes to sing Barbershop.
