The leader is Joan Reynolds. She is pianist, arranger and general do it all
gal. She was a classmate of mine at Michigan State and we sang in a
post-Modernairs quintet called the Quintones, doing a weekly radio
broadcast. We sang like an early Hi Lows but not near as close in the
harmony.
Joan's band has changed a bit since that record, but is now called the Red
Rose Jazz Band.
Very top flight group, and a fun band.
