Maybe they're featuring non-jazz big names for the same reason as the
Sacramento (Traditional) Jazz Festival.. to increase attendance by
attracting people who aren't interested in OKOM or straight jazz.

The inference is that there is insufficient attendance by jazz (as we know
and love it) fans.  Would those of us who do attend be willing to pay more
to keep out the non-jazz elements?
