Dear listmates

There were 3 incarnations of the HBIT as far as I remember. The 1st with
English Musos, the 2nd with Yanks and 3rd with mainly Melbournians.
Many of the songs performed were originals by Judith and/or her late
husband, Englishman Ron Edgeworth.

The English version of the HBIT did a concert about 1980 at
Melbourne's Festival Hall with Frank Traynor's Jazz Preachers (Melb)
supporting.

The Australian version was put together by Judith about 18 months before
Ron died of a motor neurone disease. He was still playing magnificently
and, anyone who has heard Judith live can attest to the exceptional
qualities of her voice. The band did a series of concerts in Melbourne
and one in Canberra. The lineup included Ron Edgeworth, Steve Waddell,
humble me, the late Greg Gibson.

LPs were produced of the 1st and 2nd versions but not the local one.
They are re-released on CD.

cheers
