Hey Brian, I'm glad I'm not alone in wondering why M. Davis gets such
adulation, AND my tastes are definitely more modern than yours! Give me
Clifford Brown, even Dizzy Gillespie and Arturo Sandoval over Miles Davis
any day!
I suppose MKOM is more "straight ahead", to quote another recent DJML
phrase, and my current faves on trumpet include Nicholas Payton, Jon-Erik
Kelso, Peter Eklund and Warren Vache.
