Do you remember the column in Private Eye 'Pseud's Corner'? Practically all
of this article would merit a place in that. Interestingly many of the New
York Times articles which Steve posts to the DJML would qualify. I wonder if
this newspaper is really full of such trendy intellectualism or actually has
something for the ordinary man. I will buy a copy when I am in New York in
February and see for myself!
With this type of rubbish written about jazz it is no wonder that most of the
population do not think that jazz is for them. This type of pretentious
drivel does much more harm than good to the jazz cause.
