Dear Jim,
Bob Gibson, according to "The Guinness Encyclopedia of Popular Music" (2
ed,, 1995)  was born in New York City on November 16, 1931. He wrote a
lot of folk music recorded by the Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul and Mary,
and others. He also had several albums of his own, and was " a frequent
performer at international folk festivals." There is more but none of it
seems to have anything to do with jazz. All the best for Christmas and
