For those who are not that close to New Orleans, other worthy recipients include the Jazz Institute of Chicago and the Institute For Jazz Studies (title may be slightly off) at Rutgers University. many local university libraries would probably be glad to get them and may even get them into public circulation faster and more reliably than the "big name" collections will.
