I have always liked the Gb7 in place of the Fdim.

Here are the chords Tex Wyndham uses and he would be as accurate as
anyone, since he would have likely transcribed them from the original
sheet music. Key of F (Others may use Db7 for bars 2, 4, 18 & 20 in
the verse)

Verse
F / Fdim / F / Fdim /
F / D7 / Gm-D7 / Gm /
Gm-D7 / Gm / Gm-D7 / Gm /
G7 / G7 / C7 / C7 /
F / Fdim / F / Fdim /
F / D7 / Gm-D7 / Gm /
G7 / C / G7 / C
G7 / G7 / C7 / C7

Chorus
F / F / G7 / G7 /
C7 / C7 / F / F /
G7 / G7 / G7 / G7 /
G7 / G7 / C7 / C7 /
F / F / G7 / G7 /
C7 / C7 / F / F /

Notes:

Alternate Chords Chorus bars 3-4 and 23- 24
/ Gm / Gm /

And alternate ending before bridge bars 7-8
F-Cdim / C7

Does one have to be faithful to the composer? Ah, philosophy. Depends
upon your point of view, but most folks are not so take your choice, you
are the bandleader. :-)

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
