Thanks, Don, for the 'horn-into-lamp information. I needed that.l My
williams Model 4 trombone will make a nice mini floor lamp. Incidentally, I
finally put it away the other day. It's been sitting out on a stand for the
last year and 1/2. I fugured when I hung it up that I would p[ick it up once
in awhile and play it. But that doesn't work.
So, the other day, I realized that it was gathering dust and I took it apart
and gave it a good bath. And put it away in its case. Not an easy thing to
do, actually.
Which reminds me of my rolodex. I've got cards in there that I can't bring
myself to discard...Trummy Young, Art Hodes, Barrett Deems, Duke Groner,
Truck parham ad on and on. these guys are long gone but I cannot bring
myself to take out their cards which have their phone numbers and addresses.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this
By the way, what is the difference between a cynic and a curmudgeon. Do you
have Ambrose Bierce's dictionary?
