Jim Beebe Wrote

"The most poignant song, hands down, is "A Cottage For Sale."

But you have to hear Judy Garland sing it. She did it one time through
with
piano only on a live recording. No one will ever beat that combination
for
song and singer.
You hear this one time , late at night, at thoughtful rest and this will
bust
you wide open."

Oh my, I'd forgotten that one. How right you are Jim. It is something
else!!! Heard it the first time over the radio on Charlie Traeger's
sailboat moored in Stonington Harbor. (Connecticut, on the Long Island
Sound) We were drinking Vodka Martinis and just mellowing out. Tore us
all up on a beautiful summer's evening. Followed by her Concert Hall
comeback recording. They were all excellent.

She was a singer!

Steve
