To my amazement Rocky Ball (he of the brilliant Japanese gig tale) said :

"If you are not familiar with Barry Manilow's work... give it a listen. (And
particularly from the perspective of OKOM)... you may be pleasantly
surprised."

I don't think so Rocky - that ski-slope nose just wrecks it for me. Noses
are so important in OKOM, without a decent one you are dead. No wonder that
Barry stuck to pop where noses are regarded as being of little consequence.
